Delight
your Kids with a Playground Theme
Another trend in playground equipment is
that of children's themes. These include princess castles for girls and
forts for boys. What little girl wouldn't want to live out her fairy
tale in her own little playground castle. She can act out her favorite
story with her little friends while still partaking in the physical
activities which the playground castle has to offer. And as for the
boys, they can pretend to be superheroes or engage in their usual rough
and tumble games in their very own "No Girls Allowed" fort.
Also available are elaborately designed tree houses to accommodate both
boys and girls. If you have a family of little girls, you can construct
the tree house strictly for them; and, of course, the same goes for a
family of little boys.
Other themes include play structures designed as mountain ranges for
climbing and "hiking." One "mountain" may include a rock-climbing
apparatus or rope on which children may climb.
There are also climbing structures with wheels of a "car," "boat," or
"airplane" so that children can pretend they are driving a car or
piloting a boat or airplane.
Some structures have slides that are created in many different
configurations so that children will not become bored with just going up
and down the slide. Instead, they can vary their sliding activities
using the different mechanisms that a slide has to offer. These devices
may include a "chutes" and "ladders" type apparatus.
Theme playground equipment promotes imaginative play as well as the
usual development of children's muscles and skill that is involved in
any physical games or styles of play.
There is also modular theme playground equipment for the very small
child. This type of equipment may include tubing devices in which the
littlest child can either crawl through or climb on top.
The playground equipment may also have sand and water toys for hot
summer fun activities.
